I rebuilt the entire Spring Science Extravaganza (SSE) program from the ground up. SSE is a 3-day event that invites elementary school kids (K-2) to explore different science concepts in a fun way. Instead of a traditional science fair, SSE has 30 unique experiences with each teaching a unique science concept ranging from Biology, Chemisty, Physics, Astronomy, Environmental Science, and more.
My focus for SSE was to modernize each experience to maintain the interest of young children. One way the experience was modernized was the introduction of goodie bags. Kids are given an empty goodie bag when entering SSE with the expectation that by the end of their time there it would be full. To do so, I added more experiences where each kid was able to take something home. Some examples include: adding a slime station, fizzy bath bombs, hand-made harmonicas, and much more.
